Dilatoflex®: The story of a reference
The epitome of flexibility.Experts in high performance expansion joints for the most demanding industries.

An industrial heritage, expertise focused on the future.
Since 1955, Dilatoflex® has continued to expand its footprint. Today, our expansion joints and special joints still equip the most critical environments: the French Navy, nuclear power plants and chemical plants. They are also found in various industries and in construction. The conquest of the most demanding markets continues.

Development of the first expansion joints from the time of Kleber Colombes
The history of Dilatoflex® excellence has its roots in the heart of French industrial innovation in the 1950s. It was in 1955, within the design offices and workshops of the Kléber Colombes division, that the very first rubber expansion joints saw the light of day. We have maintained this quality requirement, continually improving our materials to meet the strictest safety standards of modern industry.
Creation of the Dilatoflex® brand
In 1961, the innovation took on a name: the Dilatoflex® brand was officially registered. It is quickly establishing itself as the global industrial standard for protecting pipe networks, embodying robustness, safety and historic French know-how.
Michelin takes control of Kleber and creation of “Kleber Industrie”
In 1981, a major turning point took place: Michelin took control of Kléber, giving birth to “Kléber Industrie”. This synergy between two rubber giants strengthens the technical expertise of Dilatoflex®, offering it a new dimension and increased means of innovation.
Creation of a joint venture between Michelin and the Woco group called: WOCO Michelin AVS
WOCO Michelin AVS becomes Anvis Group
In 2008, the WOCO Michelin AVS division was transformed into the Anvis Group. This change marks a global acceleration for Dilatoflex®. The brand now benefits from the agility of a group 100% dedicated to anti-vibration solutions for international industry.
The Japanese group Sumitomo Riko takes over the Anvis group
The year 2013 marks a new turning point with the acquisition of Anvis by Sumitomo Riko. Building on this rapprochement with a Japanese polymer expert, Dilatoflex® is consolidating its know-how. Our solutions benefit from reinforced R&D, combining cutting-edge engineering and sustainability.
Hahn GmbH is set to become the owner of ANVIS
The company, previously owned by Sumitomo Riko, is being sold to Hahn GmbH. Managing Director Olaf Hahn has already been responsible for all locations since 2007.
Construction of the new factory in Decize
Proud of its roots, the group is building a new factory in Decize in 2022. This continues the “Made in France” excellence for Dilatoflex®, by optimizing its production capacities and perpetuating its expertise, while meeting the highest technical requirements of its global customers.
