Dilatoflex® expansion joints — reliable performance for critical oil and gas applications
Dilatoflex® expansion joints set the highest standards for critical applications. They absorb thermal movement, vibration, and misalignment, ensuring long-term performance under demanding service conditions, such as those found in the oil and gas industry.
Reliable solutions for your cooling and fuel lines

Sturdy construction
Designed for durable performance in harsh environments, helping to reduce maintenance and extend equipment life.
Equipment protection
Dilatoflex® expansion joints protect your piping installations, pumps and connected equipment against mechanical stress and premature failures, thus ensuring the long-term integrity of the system.
Vibration damping
Effectively absorb vibrations generated by pumps, compressors and rotating equipment, reducing stress on piping networks.
Compensation for misalignment
Accommodates misalignments resulting from differential settlements, reducing forces transmitted to fixed anchor points and thereby preventing structural stress and potential damage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Elastomeric expansion joints are most often used in auxiliary piping systems rather than main hydrocarbon process lines. Typical applications include cooling water systems, seawater intake and discharge lines, fire protection networks, utility water systems and fuel supply lines to auxiliary equipment.
Dilatoflex® expansion joints can be used in fire safety applications when equipped with suitable fire protection. This protection helps maintain the integrity of the expansion joint when exposed to high temperatures and provides additional protection in the event of a fire.
In typical refinery applications, GZ grade elastomeric blend should be used with orange marking. GZ grade expansion joints can be used with crude oil, jet fuel (except JP-9 per MIL-F-81912, JP-10, JP-9-11), kerosene and gases (methane, ethane, propane, butane). GZ grade can also be used in compressed air applications and in cooling water circuits containing traces of petroleum products.
For cooling water systems, we recommend the ARCC grade elastomer compound. ARCC grade withstands temperatures up to 110°C at a pressure of 10 bar. It is commonly used in cooling water circuits, utility water systems, and any application requiring temperature resistance and reliable long-term performance. Please note that ARCC grade is not suitable for fluids containing traces of oil or other petroleum products. In such cases, GZ grade is generally recommended. For any specific application, please do not hesitate to contact our technical team.
