A reliable solution to optimize maintenance downtime and reduce overall operating costs.
Dilatoflex® rubber expansion joints and FLEXIL® expansion joints for pinch valves are designed to withstand the most demanding service conditions, offering excellent resistance to abrasion, dust, solar radiation, and high temperatures. Our extensive experience in mining and quarrying applications confirms that we offer one of the most reliable and efficient solutions on the market.
Advanced abrasion resistance for handling slurries and bulk materials

Rubber compound structure specifically designed for mining applications
The highly abrasion-resistant inner layer of Dilatoflex® expansion joints, combined with internal reinforcement and an external protective rubber layer, offers exceptional resistance to abrasive fluids and harsh external conditions.
Accessories designed to extend lifespan
Dilatoflex® expansion joints can be fitted with straight or conical deflectors. In applications involving fluids containing solid particles, these deflectors prevent direct contact between the rubber and the main flow, thus significantly reducing the risk of wear and extending service life.
High resistance to opening and closing cycles
The thickness of the body of the FLEXIL® expansion joints, combined with its internal reinforcement, allows it to withstand a high number of operating cycles while guaranteeing the tightness of the pinch valves.

Frequently Asked Questions
We are manufacturers of elastomer parts only and do not supply complete pinch valves. However, we offer FLEXIL® bellows designed for pinch valve applications in the mining and quarrying industry.
Two main criteria determine whether a straight or conical baffle should be selected. The first is based on fluid dynamics data, specifically the flow rate and associated pressure drop values. The second criterion concerns the expected lateral and angular movements of the piping system, or a combination thereof. A straight internal baffle is recommended when minimizing pressure drop and maintaining continuous flow are the primary requirements. However, its use limits the movement of the expansion joint to axial compression and extension only, excluding any lateral or angular displacement. In applications involving lateral or angular movements, a conical baffle is generally the only suitable solution. However, due to its geometry, the outlet cross-section is smaller than the inlet cross-section, resulting in some pressure drop.
FLEXIL® expansion joints are available in three different versions, selected according to the application. The most commonly used version is designed for abrasive fluids and is based on the ARCC grade elastomer compound. A second version is suitable for petroleum products such as oil, crude oil, and kerosene, with the HH grade elastomer compound. The third version is dedicated to acids and aggressive chemical fluids and is based on the YP grade elastomer compound. Concentrated chemical fluids are used for run-of-mine (ROM) processing in chemical facilities associated with mining operations.
